Crucible Centre history
In 1990 John and Hilary turned their old house in Leura into a private centre for inner work. We called it the Broomelea Centre for personal development and for trainings in Voice Dialogue and Active Sandplay, probably the first Sandplay course offered in Australia.
Much of our philosophy is contained in John's books Notes to Transformation and The Great Field. The latter was published in the US and won the Award for the Best Spiritual Book for 2008.
In 1996 John and Hilary moved to a 264 acre valley near Hartley Vale, built a Sanctuary and called it The Crucible Centre. Three years later John created a three-year course in Transpersonal Psychology that was approved as a university Post Graduate level. This was the first time that a government-recognised course in Sandplay had been offered anywhere in Australia.
In August 2015 we and the Crucible Centre moved to Brogo on the Sapphire Coast. We offer private sessions for adults, couples and children, and will consider small workshops and our highly successful 24-hour intensives.
A testimonial from Jenna: "I have seen my own and otherís lives transform before my eyes. You have guided and supported me to become more conscious of the patterns and dramas in my life, why they came to be and how to break free from them to lead a more peaceful, satisfying and productive life. You are true masters in this field."
