Transpersonal Therapy

In Transpersonal therapy the greatest healing occurs when we are in service to our Soul's journey. We now have the means to heal through both Soul & Spirit, to clear the power that energetic nodes, the archetypes and the collective unconscious have over us, and to develop a natural gratitude to our unbreakable connection to the universe.

MISSION STATEMENT
TO PROMOTE TRANSPERSONAL PSYCHOTHERAPY
AS A PROFESSION OF TRANSFORMATION

"We ought, in so far as it lies within our power, to aspire to immortality, and to do all we can to live in conformity with the highest that is within us; for even if it is small in quantity, in power and preciousness it far exceeds all the rest."    (Aristotle)

PSYCHOTHERAPY means "healing the soul". Unlike counselling where we seek advice and input from another, psychotherapy instigates healing from within to develop personal strengths and resources that are independent of outside views or advice.

PSYCHOTHERAPY sets out to help people find within themselves the resources they need for their own destiny.

THE TRANSPERSONAL refers to that entire universe of vibrations and energies that lies beyond the five senses and is capable of being felt and understood. Some are nodes held in the body, often inherited like genes. Some have their own unresolved issues that need addressing, like soul. Some are immense, such as the collective unconscious, universal archetypes and the hierarchy of the spiritual domain.

THE TRANSPERSONAL encompasses all human experiences, physical, psychological and spiritual that impinge on us in one way or another.

At the Crucible we believe that ego development and spiritual transformation form one unified process of human evolution, which begins before birth and continues to the realization of Self and, ultimately, to spiritual enlightenment.

As Carl Jung argued, psychotherapy is fundamentally misconceived if it does not seek to understand human spiritual possibilities, and through this find the guidance needed for self-realization.

TRANSPERSONAL PSYCHOTHERAPY concerns self-realization and the broader questions on the nature of life and the universe. When the transpersonal is included in personal work, transformation is more complete and permanent. This is a sacred psychology.

There are two goals in psychotherapy, as we understand it;
   1. To mature and clarify a person's behaviour and relationships,
   2. To open a road to self-discovery.

Similarly, there are two goals in transpersonal work;
   1. To search within to the dynamic origins of a person, and
   2. To search without to the expanse of subtle realms of vibration that we call spirit.

Transpersonal Psychotherapy is based on three assumptions;
   1. The ECOLOGICAL PRINCIPLE that everything is a part of everything else
   2. The SPIRITUAL PRINCIPLE that there is an enormous range of vibration/energies
       beyond the culturally-imposed limits of our senses and
   3. The DYNAMIC PRINCIPLE that vibration moulds the material world
